I think Six Sigma has been done to death, and Mr. Wagon's suggestions should replace it. Much more than a COTD; the birth of a revolution.

GM releases Saab's soul to return from whence it came.

This actually looks better than the other Stutz models; it seems their design ideas just needed a larger canvas to express them properly. Not saying this is pretty, just somehow more complete.

What no one ever seems to ask is: Can you have your cake and eat it in an affordable car? By that I mean well-performing crumple zones to help protect you in a serious crash, and components that hold up in a fender bender. Somehow I think low-speed damage and high-speed energy absorption must be related.

@electricarchie: Driving a Range Rover in Hoboken? I had enough trouble finding a spot for my Chevette when I worked in Hudson County. That was 20-something years ago, and I don't think it's gotten less crowded.

For a second there I thought we were seeing an upgrade to yesterday's outrigger seat. Now with doors!

Cute, but what did it sell for new? Can't have been much more than $12K in 1989, and now you would have a cramped, noisy, slowish used car. Sorry, no.

@SeanKHotay: Heart clicky for reference to the finest Fawlty Towers episode.

OK, can somebody paste in the big shark from 'Finding Nemo'?

Looks better coming than going, but overall, I like this.

@combat chuck: So many flavors to choose from...the whole GM-Toyota thing...the excitement brand bows out with a rebadged appliance...are we depressed yet?

My favorites are when they try to find clever names for black and white.

I have a soft spot for Toros, but this one is pretty low on my desirability list. Needs less Eldorado.

Sounds like a vehicle I might even consider, and it's less ugly than its predecessor, but it ain't pretty.

I was not aware that VW made a Caddy. This was very confusing to me, until I switched my thoughts to Games of the Rich mode. And yet ironically, it's the other Caddy that's more likely to show up at the club. My brain hurts.

At $11,940 less than a base smart fortwo, it's a way better deal.

If you live in a climate that won't reduce it to reddish dust, go for it. Probably the most unsmug way you could find to say "I'm green."

This looks like one of those absurd model kits you used to see 35 years ago (if you were alive and aware of your surroundings then). Which makes it fantastic to see in real life.
