You come across as a shill. That price is absolutely ridiculous. You can almost get a Tesla for that much. The fact that you tried to rationalize the price shows you are not being objective. I applaud HD for building it but not at that price.

It exists, but it took a while to recover from this.

Why do people still spread the lie that urbanites can have electric vehicles. There is no place to charge your stupid electric car or 550 pound motorcycle if you live in the city. Suburbanites are who are buying electric vehicles outside of fleets.

A BMW K1600 is a legitimate touring motorcycle with all of the benefits you mentioned.

They had a street legal electric supermoto in like 2015.

Come on. Trials bikes and dirt bikes don’t count, man. That’s not street legal.

Akchuawly... KTM came out with an electric trail bike back in like 2014

But Tesla is a segment leader that kind of lead the segment. HD is just joining the party and still can’t shed their old brand image.

Really? I’ve got the financial resources, but also have a BMW K1600 that delivers 40+ mpg, has unlimited range and 160 hp on tap. Plus plenty of storage space, room for a passenger, Bluetooth and GPS, lots of accessories and none of the residual stench of the HD Kult. The Beemer sells in the same price range.

I just feel that when you’re trying to attract new customers, going out with a expensive halo product that doesn’t exactly do it when youre trying to basically rebrand/branch out to a new audience.

Just wait though, HD will have a Screaming Eagle kit to add on this for extra $$$.

interesting, environmentally conscious, and maybe a smidge more counterculture than a Tesla owner

But that one don’t say H-D on the ‘tank’! Really, I don’t know how they think the Harley name is going to sway e=bike buyers that can read spec sheets.

but isn’t that the business model for harley-davidson?
