IMO, the show is simply trying to show how cable news operates.   Sorkin is intentionally trying to portray Will as self-righteous and smug.

Uhhh, you do realize that this entire storyline is essentially a remaking of the Operation Tailwind scandal in which CNN falsely accused the military of using Sarin gas in Laos. right?

That article sounds spot on to me.  The record labels are obfuscating revenues.  They are getting millions from these streaming services but claiming they are paupers to the artists, which is what they always do.

I thought this was one of the best episodes of the show to date.  Sorkin still can't write a romantic storyline to save his life but he's great when he sticks to what he does best, witty dialogue with an compelling rythym.
