    1a)Fake exhaust tips and valences.

Make sure you close the door...

Having rented out my car once on Turo, and having the people beat the absolute shit out of it, live in it for a week and drive it for miles off road (in a BMW sedan)...fuck these people. They did the “drop it off at midnight and run” bit too.

I love how the guy leans into the truck while trying to stop it. Maybe if you push just a little harder... It’s an F250, don’t get in front of it, or any other car. You’re going to feel really dumb (or die) getting run over for something that your insurance will probably cover anyway.

Beautiful city aside, this is always one of the most boring races of the year after the first lap. I ended up letting it play in the background while cleaning my basement. Poor ‘Nando.

I rented my car out on Turo ONE TIME. So dumb.

Seems like a trivial increase in mpg considering adding a tiny battery and electric motor to a first gen Prius produced larger efficiency gains 20 years ago. And if you just throw out the gas engine completely and add a big battery and electric motor, you can triple that efficiency with the added benefit of gobs of

I was rafting down the Hanalei River with my wife, right where it dumps out into the bay. I tried to paddle towards the beach, but we kept getting pulled out to sea. As I began to panic, I was giving it everything I had and still could tell we weren’t making any progress, and there weren’t any lifeguards. Then I

    A 48 month loan on a 9-year-old BMW...ouch.

Mmmm, 90 minutes of red flag on my DVR.

I turned that garbage off months ago. My car gets 21mpg. It got 21.5 when using start stop. I’ll take my chances on that. It’s a ridiculous band-aid solution to a problem of inefficiency that’s easily improved by using a hybrid system (like the BMW 330e), or full electric drive train. How much better would all these

Next thing you’ll tell me the Pro Bowl isn’t important...

I went to Hanalei on Kauai by myself for two weeks. EVERY person there is on their honeymoon or working. Everyone working has to leave at night to drive to the other side of the island where they live. Can’t recommend that trip alone.

I made this 4 years ago. It cost $3000, weighed 100 pounds and got you ~5 miles range in 45 minutes. Fun project though.

I had this game on mute for about 90 seconds before I realized I’d rather take out the garbage and pull weeds in the back yard.

I live in Portland and my wife thinks I’m nuts because I have almost zero interest in the eclipse. I’m a scientist too. Whatever, it’s going to be dark when it shouldn’t be. You know when else that happens? 200 days a year when it rains. That cloud eclipse is going to be so hot!

There were some good moments in this Tour. Unfortunately a lot of interesting riders ended up with broken bones, and no one was seriously challenging Sky.

What someone really needs to do is insure these packaged debts as part of the issuance. Some sort of swap of credit default. What could go wrong!

F1 and the Isle of Man TT. The brain is screaming at you to stop what you’re doing, with zero margin for error. F1 cars are pulling 6Gs under braking this year, so you get the added bonus of your head trying to escape the body 15 times per lap.

If they have the user names and passwords, they can start the car from the app without a key. Or they could be using a signal booster for proximity keys, like any other car with that type of key.
