I'm not saying he's right but I'm just saying that he wasn't making it needlessly political. The whole "Flops' enterprise is him trying to explore why things are flops and just saying "it flopped cuz it sucked" wouldn't really be a worthwhile enterprise.

On the flip, for a fancier version, there is a chain called Jim Boy's that recently opened near me (it's a California chain I think but I live in Texas) which has similarly fried soft tacos still with ground beef and American cheese but they also dust the shells with parmesan. Weird but very, very tasty.

I was about to say I hope you still ate them because I loved those bacon cheddar potato wedges and remember them being delicious!

We have them in Texas, too, and I will choose Bueno over anything else. Mexi Dips and chips forever! I also love both their black bean burrito and their regular bean burrito, so much better than Taco Bell. Also, somehow, their chimichanga (which is always a "limited time only" thing) is the best chimichanga I've ever

I love all the weird variety at Jack in the Box. The egg rolls are good as fuck! 3 egg rolls, 2 tacos, I'm good to go (to the bathroom.) But really, their curly fries are good, the jalapeno poppers are not exactly good but they aren't available from a lot of fast food places so I like that, and they usually have some

I'm a Texan and I beg to differ. I have long ago given up worrying about what's "real" or "authentic" and worrying more about what I like. I like a good, corn tortilla with just onions and cilantro taco from a gas station taqueria but I also like Jack in the Box tacos. They have some of the same elements (enough so

But isn't he suggesting that it flopped because everyone was suffering from self-important-billionaire fatigue because of so much Trump coverage? It wasn't even really politics he was talking about but rather Trump's ever-presence in the news (which happens to be because he was elected president.) A movie that

I too am weirdly not into Danny Brown! I feel like I'm a bad rap fan but I likes what I likes. The closest thing to liking his music is enjoying the Fresh Off the Boat theme song.

Yes! I do realize that I'm just more keen on more traditionally structured songs, I like a solid chorus, not repeated too many times, and big powerful verses (which is RTJ2 all day.) This and RTJ1, as you say, feel less compact and intense.

Agreed, deeply in love with both of them to a weird degree.

But the "live at the Garden" over and over again just drives me insane! I keep hearing this suggested as one of the best songs on the album but I'm like not with that chorus it isn't. But I do like "I do push-ups nude on the side of cliffs."

I feel the same. I liked RTJ1, was obsessed with RTJ2, and this just didn't stand out as much. For example, the first song on RTJ2 comes so hard right out the gate while RTJ3 starts out kind of weak and flabby. The choruses seem less impactful and the songs feel a little too long and repetitive. I need to give it more

Thanks for the detailed advice!

The song itself in its time was funny but just plugging it into a children's movie is not, in and of itself, funny. But based on the preview, that's all that happens and that's the joke. Oh and lady rabbits in satin dresses are like twerking their butts to the music which isn't so much funny as just a little

I visited Wisconsin for the first time recently too and saw that shirt and laughed and laughed. I went to the state fair and compared to the other state fairs I've been to, there seemed to be a real focus on just getting drunk and listening to bad cover bands playing classic rock. I am not complaining, it was fun!

That's really interesting! I can never truly enjoy a straight booze situation like brandy or whiskey because even if there is a flavor I enjoy going on, the burn is too much for me. I just need to to make a point to just acclimate myself instead of just trying it every once an a while and concluding it isn't for me.

I know I'm in the minority of rap fans in that I do not really like Chance but when she came out I was immediately like "who is she?!" So I was happy to get hip to Noname. And she was so cute, like clearly completely stoked!

I'm not the only one who thinks this! I can even get with some Jesus in my music but he's just too much. I think he's very cute and good entertainer but I'm just not sold on him as a rapper.

I don't understand your beef. A wide variety of demographics listen to Bob Marley in the U.S. too but it is a cliche that a lot of kids get very superficially into him in college. And this is US pop culture oriented website so bringing up the association makes sense. It's not an insult to Bob Marley's music, I think

I mean, he makes it pretty clear that he was feeling something but found the feeling unsettling and unpleasant. It tanked her career for a reason- most people did not like the way it made them feel. You connected to the album which is awesome, I've connected to plenty of panned, unpopular albums. But I didn't accuse
