Lays should totally do a set of Republican Primary flavored chips. I’ll leave just a few here...

I let Mother of the Desk know about this one, as she and I remember the great BBC TV show “Shoulder to Shoulder” starring Sian Phillips (as Mrs. Pankhurst) about the suffragettes. I was convinced that H. B-C. would play Christabel Pankhurst but not so. If you can watch an episode of that show, you will see why. That

It’s Swiss-German, and I recommend the prix-fixe menu (great selection and value), unless you prefer fondue or raclette.

If you’re going to the theater, do stop off at Mont Blanc restaurant just off of 8th Av. for dinner or after...the food is wonderful, the service unpretentious and you will have a wonderful time.

Seconding Hazel’s recommendation on the 9/11 memorial-museum - I was there in February with The Mother Desk and it was respectful, intimate and thought provoking.

Take care, and tell the bitch to GTFO.

Since so many of us are enjoying vitamin W on this Saturday night, let’s talk about dry rosé. I am loving the Spanish ones esp. Gran Feudo, but are there others worthwhile trying?

Poor Joe. Ol’ Sof just wants to party, and he’s totally like, get me out of here.

There IS delicious sweetness in the world...and this is it.

No one is going to vote for someone from Wisconsin for President. It's like someone from Manitoba being Prime Minster of Canada.

Thank you for that. Loreena has a gorgeous voice.

You can keep Jim for the time being, we’ve got enough nutbars up here. I’m surprised Timmies isn’t there yet. Maybe they could take over the SS United States and make it into a Super-Duper Tim Hortons. Drive-thru might be a problem though.

Thanks! BTW, please keep the Beebs...we don’t really need him back. His home town has the Stratford Festival which will go on long after he's (insert your own comment about JB here).

Sorry about that.

Since it’s Saturday Night, I’m putting this little fellow or gal out there. It is a Quokka and it’s about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen (apart from my own Miss Dixie). I could totally see it holding a flag and being patriotic.

Starred for using the REAL Little Edie sequence. Although I loved JL and DB in the HBO film.

I do that ESPECIALLY if I hate them. It’s like the aural kiss of death.

As a Canadian, I just want to send a little bit of love to our cousins on Independence Day. We might get cross at times at your antics, and even a bit huffy about certain policies...but we can’t imagine what we would do without you.
