I can see that from your POV, but gonna take a guess that for kids, mainstream audiences and such, and no knowledge of the What If comics, this may have been slightly shocking.

It says a lot that the 3 episodes he shows up for in Scrubs are still taunted so highly to be mentioned with his movies. And while ‘My Screw Up’ is no. 3 for me, I watched it again. He and Transcend that episode. 

It makes sense right? Steve wanted to be a soldier, but physically was never there, and so didn’t have the training. Peggy was always a great fighter/spy, with the same heart that Steve has. So she becomes as good as Steve, while physically and in combat, surpassing him.

I love tertiary characters like Jan. Very little use, but his 1-2 lines are hilarious. Seeing how Bill Lawrence is part of this show, and he did this on Scrubs and Cougartown. 

Pretty sure Jamie told us how it’s gonna go. Why did he do the island show? To screw his dad. I believe he becomes a pass first player(to the detriment of the team), and Ted and he will have to learn that Ted’s style may need a little refining(aka Doc Sharon).

Kinda feels like the episode was over optimistic? The cheers reference after the 8th tie in a row? The goldfish thing, and how they seemed fine after? Seems like Beard’s outburst about winning from Season 1 is gonna be bigger than we think. I believe the therapist is gonna be a foil to Ted’s happy-go-lucky-me coaching…
