It’s got more ‘classic’ films in that you’ve heard of them and they are also classics.

Seriously. They have really upped their classic movie game in the past few months.

Tubi has been amazing for me as a B-movie fan. Horror, sci-fi, fantasy. It has so damn much, often in pretty good quality.

It’s got Night of the Comet (1984). It’s the only movie you ever need to watch! But seriously, it’s a lot of fun and I never understood why it didn’t become a classic. It’s a great mix of action, comedy and horror that reminds me a lot of Shaun of the Dead.

Even the commercials that are there are rarely that terrible in terms of length or how frequently they pop up. it’s like 45 seconds every 15-ish minutes (sometimes longer between breaks).

It’s got a lot of stuff - from a B-movie bonanza to top rated classic films, to vintage and newer TV shows. It’s a good service, free or not.

Go watch ‘The Adventures of Robin Hood’, then a palate cleanser of ‘Demon Squad’. You can thank me later.

It wasn’t the greatest movie in the world, but I loved him as imaginary spy Jack Flack with the kid from E.T. in Cloak & Dagger.

The best comment I’ve seen anybody make about this is “Roger Corman’s funeral will be on time, under budget, and have enough extra footage for three more funerals.”

Freeway is excellent. It’s my favorite Reese Witherspoon role, with Tracy Flick a close second.

20 year commenter here and stuck in the grays with all new comments. We were promised they’d survive the last software move but that wasn’t true. Commenting here has taken on about the same dark undertone as most comment boards anymore so if they go away it’s OK. They’re gone on The Takeout now.

Led to some great username / comment synergy. I used this handle back them most often so just kept it when we had to register. I s’pose we’ll never get our image / icons back.

Hope we get Disqus back soon

This morning when there didn’t seem to be a comments section I thought it was a sorry way for the AV Club comments section to go out. If this happens to be a short-lived reprieve, I just want to say it’s been a fun ride from finding the AV Club in a corner on the Onion’s web page, through whatever was before Disqus,

This can only mean one thing: you’re going to get cancerAids

No love for the Poseidon Adventure?

My description has always been “It’s like if you combined It’s Always Sunny with Napoleon Dynamite.”

Honestly, I think it shares some DNA with King of the Hill-- both shows about a very traditionalist guy exasperated with the nonsense going on around him and his three best friends; also both shows that understand that small towns are often full of complete lunatics.

He is scary as fuck! Good call!

It blew my mind when the kid looks at a picture of The Tall Man, and then The Tall Man looks back.

He got honorable mention, but he should be top 10.

I beg your pardon, but the omission of the Tall Man from the Phantasm movies is inexcusable.
