Weird sort of chivalry is a good way to put it… (I think most of the people we've seen him hold high regard for are women, actually?) I thought Hannibal's expression in the hospital looked very cold and mask-like. A cold type of anger sounds like it'd fit him, though.

I wonder if Hannibal intended for Mason do that, though? Revenge fuel like that does sound kind of plausible (Will def. thinks so), and Hannibal totally tipped off Mason to provoke him in the way Hannibal has done time and again with other killers… but I'm not sure he meant for Mason to succeed any more than he wanted

Perhaps you didn't mean to sound this way, but it seems like you're offended that someone would deliberately attract the "liberals and LGBT fans," rather than angry about those fans being exploited. It sets one up to wonder if you might find pushing the limit of intimacy between a man and woman less gratuitous.

Now that Alana and the audience are meant to know Will Graham hasn't completely fallen, I wonder if the show will be more open with signs of strain going forward? I'd like to see it.

So, um, curious, did anyone else feel a strong "Abigail is alive" vibe in this episode?

Teasing gay ships and the shippers when there's no intention of making the characters romantic in canon. Honestly, I much prefer "queerbaiting" to flat-out being ignored, but that's just me.

Soo, anyone else thinking Trubel's going to play Grimm donor after Adalind "returns the favor" about Nick's powers? She didn't annoy me last week, but this week I found her very grating, so I'm hoping this is the case (after she kills the guy who killed her parents and has some mentoring, I guess).

I think the line "people only see what they want to see" is a Theme for this season. It's all over Ray Seward's situation, and it's affecting the other investigation as well.
I don't know if the Pastor is full red herring territory; there's a place between trying to lead the viewer down a wrong road and showing
