A couple of these are WTF because there's a good chance that they're bearding agreements. And one wasn't even real (although you acknowledged that).

Doesn't the culture in Asian countries put a premium on whiteness though? It's pretty evident in a lot of things that come out of places like South Korea and Japan. I actually think you see it sometimes in Asian Americans as well, honestly.

And Michael Fassbender. And Matthew Fox. And James Deen. And....

In America, radio success is had almost exclusively by pandering to racists. We need to discuss that more.

Stuff like this is why it's hard to take the feminism on this site seriously sometimes. Feminist principles are routinely set aside in the face of a man (usually white) that is well liked on here.

The guys who think being loud makes them manly are usually the weakest cowards around.

I doubt there is an essence of masculinity you'd agree with regardless...so can it, toots.

These ads are always so stupid. "LOUD NOISES! GRUFF VOICES! EXPLOSIONS! MAN STUFF!!!!!"

This kinda thing should be classified as a hate crime.

It's a controversial opinion but, I've always argued that people who knowingly blame minorities for crimes that they did not commit should be charged with hate crimes.

Because of the whackadoodles America's most ardently wrong voters have elected to represent them in the House.

I mean, that day is coming sooner or later. It's pretty much inevitable.

Just to give you an idea of how conservative America is, California is considered one of the country's 2-3 most liberal states.

Re: Bae; it's so funny when white people discover non-white creations years after the fact (not so fun when they subsequently take said creations).

From what I can tell, the viewership of this show is a lot of midwestern, southern white housewives. ABC is just reading the tea leaves about how this demo would react to a black bachelor.

The conversation on this is disingenuous. It was not fueled solely by 4chan, which is why it resurfaced again today. If you want to say that Twitter is not an accurate sample of the opinions of feminists or society in general, that's fair. But the "Only 4chan trolls and people against the hashtag used it" argument

All that being said, the reporting on this on Jezebel was ridiculous. Also, IMO it was racially "tone deaf" to say the least

BUT, I think that Jezebel's coverage of this case has been strange.

Thank the West, specifically the United Kingdom and the United States. Even more specifically, that bastard Winston Churchill, Dwight Eisenhower, the Dulles brothers, and Kermit Roosevelt Jr.

I mean, that was also at the crux of the bell hooks/Beyonce tiff a few weeks back. The generational divide is clear, at least to me.
