Fuck yes. Onward to November, the general, and the White House.

Bernie achieved a lot. He didn’t win and that sucks for those like myself who voted for him but to cry like it was all for naught is to diminish the impact he had. Time to move forward.

I’m so happy that you’re finally witnessing this moment. It’s such a great feeling. :)

Women and minorities have been dutifully pulling the lever for white men for decades (when they were allowed to at all) and you never heard from them even a fraction of the hysterics that Sanders supporters have been displaying during the DNC because they didn’t get their #1 choice.

I got chills (the good kind) reading this Stassa. Thank you!

Sometimes an ace is a 1. I'd go with a Queen.

Donald Trump is the Witch King of Angmar. No man can slay him, as the Republican primaries have made clear.

In no way empty symbolism. So many of the issues written about on this blog would not be a problem if only women were regarded as actual valued members of half of the human race.

Fuck that - Hillary’s “woman card” is an ace, and Donald’s “man card” is a 4 at best. She should be slapping the GOP’s faces with it daily.

To the diehard Bernie people crying in these comments and, according to my TV screen, literally crying at the convention:

Congratulations. I’ve been a big Hillary detractor but when glorious Michelle pointed out that we (I’m in my 20s) pointed out that we take for granted a woman could become president the history of it hit me

So excited to see that our new matriarch is punching boners in the greys already! YASSS KWEEEN SLAY THEIR ERECTIONSSSS

I’m excited, I don’t care what the haters say. I never thought in my life time I’d 1) see a black president 2) hopefully see a woman president. I’m stoked because that woman had to be made of motherfucking steal to deal with all the bullshit she’s had to deal with, and whether you call her shillary or Hillary she’s

When I was six years old, my mom showed me Geraldine Ferraro on TV and explained why it was so important that a woman had been nominated as Vice President. I grew up believing a woman would be president one day. And now that day is imminent, and I could not be prouder to be an American right now.

Now she just has to defeat the worst misogynist I’ve seen in my lifetime. No pressure. And somehow do it without playing “the woman card,” whatever that is.

Having a drink to toast Hillary Clinton’s nomination. WAY TO GO HILLARY! WooT!

Have to admit I teared up when the woman from the South Dakota delegation said “the first president to be called Madame President” while casting the decisive votes.

So good to see us finally following in the footsteps of so many other nations who have already had women serving as heads of state.

Y’all, I am in tears over here. This moment is beautiful. My sister, my tiny new baby niece - they are living in a time when they could conceivably be president.

I’m with her.
