If anyone at the Obama campaign had said that Hillary Clinton wouldn't be in this race if it weren't for the fact that she is a woman. And Obama's response was: "I do not agree with that," and later added, "It's regrettable that any of our supporters— on both sides, because we both have this experience— say things

@girlscoutcookie: But he has been an elected official for 4 years longer than Hillary.

@saradanger: Not to mention the fact that he is well-respected abroad. I don't remember who said it, but someone pointed out that if the world could vote for our president, Obama would win in a landslide.

@RosePetalPlace: Very well stated. I wish I could have articulated that.

@FloraWay: There were a lot of errors in that. Oops.

@rah29: Nearly a million more people voted for Obama (that is including caucus and primaries). Clinton has very few options to usurp his lead in pledged delegates and popular vote. Her only option is using her argument that she wins "big states" to woo supers.

@KimberleeJ: I think that she meant to speak out against it.

@Political Party Girl: And you don't see this as an attempt to marginalize him as the "black candidate"? Of course she isn't the one making racist comments, but by not asking Ferraro to step down, she is allowing those remarks to be a part of her campaign.

@Serolf Divad: The lack of teeth would probably make his activities with Larry Craig easier.

I don't think that she was complaining that it was used, but saying that she felt disappointed in how it was used. She decided to use this chance to speak out for the candidate that she supports.

@Rhody: Thank you.

@clevernamehere: A lot of states let you vote in caucuses and primaries prior to your 18th birthday as long as you will be 18 by the election in November. Thus, she could vote in the caucus.

@SinisterRouge: Except, if it were the reverse you know that Clinton would be demanding that he release his— asking what he has to hide.

@PaisleyPajamas: I guess I don't understand your argument against NARAL and Planned Parenthood. Their ratings are based on his votes. Their defense has nothing to do with hero worship, but rather their requests to help their interests. Why would they defend someone who has voted against their interests?

@BettyBoopster: We'll say that it is a dodge. I disagree, but we'll say that it is. But in the US Senate, you can just not show up to vote on bills. Hillary Clinton was in DC when the Senate was voting on FISA bill, and she did not show up (though she said that she would be there to vote.) Obama and McCain did.
