@LadyNo: I live in Iowa. This is what I saw all morning.

Why are they all dressed like Iowans?

@unpopular: If people had their religion in peace, that would be a different story. These are the people who want to tell me what to do with my body, push for prayer in schools/ten commandments in courtrooms, etc.

I just don't understand why a church had armed security? Sure, it came in handy, but why would a church assume that it would need armed security?

Shit, if you met me in an elevator on a bad day, you'd be writing the same about me.

I don't know. Every generation makes a "kids these days!" statements. I'm sure there are groups of kids that are buying into this. Girls that want to be Paris. Boys that want to date Paris. But, I look at my nieces and nephews and my boyfriend's little sister, and I'm reassured.

@CollegeBookworm: I think it is pretty hilarious that these artist are able to pull that kind of money on their "artwork". Their art is actually in the scam variety...

@CollegeBookworm: Let's go. I don't want to own any of it, but it does amuse me...

I wasn't a dog person until I saw the dog on the left...

I think that article is shameful. What is she supposed to do? Gain 15 pounds to appease people? If she were 15 pounds overweight and he wrote that article, we'd be angry.

I don't know, at least they actually have black models... it is better than women's mags.

I'm confused about what is wrong with Reese Witherspoon's ass? It is tiny, just like her. You have to really be trying to find something wrong with her body.

@FloraWay: I hope that brought you directly to the My So-Called Life episodes. A new one every Friday!

This has NOTHING to do with this, but I found this last night:

It's like when a kicker in football missing a field goal. When someone's occupation revolves around one simple (maybe not easy, but simple) task, people have a hard time not feeling a little bit of satisfaction in their failure.

@distractedbyshinyobjects: That is exactly like my dad. He is a traditional conservative. He is sick of fear-mongering, so he isn't interested in any of the Republicans. If it is Hillary, he'll consider the Republican or 3rd party. If it is Obama, he'll vote for Obama.

@FloraWay: That didn't really make sense. Good job.

He was already on an upward swing. I think Oprah will help in some respects, but he was doing better in Iowa before Oprah. It is just a lot more of a story if you include Oprah and give her credit...

@AthertonMerriweather: I think that happens after you start to learn colors. Racism is learned, not inherent.

When I was little, I identified people by hair color. My mom was concerned the first time I said, "Look at that black lady!" She couldn't believe that her child was defining people by color. Then she realized that I called redheads "orange people" and blondes "yellow people".
