This is pretty homophobic. Most of the comedy relies on the premise of two guys being together is wrong. There's more humour to be developed in the fact the game makers were trying to achieve a different sort of relationship and failed, but this writer, too often, has just gone for the cheap shot.

@Pult|Ost - Not Backwards Compatible: I would say no. But I played a MILLION platformers back on the Megadrive (genesis) and SNES and I didn't really feel this was doing enough to make it feel fresh. But if you're not as old as me you might like it. Everyone else seems to.

@ctzanderman: There's no slow transformation taking place. This site has always been this way. It's never been the shining beacon of gaming news (or even half-decent journalism). They just update a lot. So they attract people who get bored easily, (which is a large portion of the gaming community).

@liveinabin: Some of locations in Endless Ocean were based on Palau, I've been there and every time I play this game it takes me back.

@Pious_Augustus: You have some good points here. I've been through my JRPG phase and I wouldn't go back (and don't have the time to). Even if FFXIII got five star reviews from everyone I would just assume they were from reviewers who were into JRPGs and I'd still avoid it.
