Why can the AV Club not get it through its fucking head that this is not an origin story? Do they just need it to be? Do they think if they mockingly refer to it as such enough times, it'll become true? It's not a fucking origin story. This is really starting to piss me off.

The Sinister Six movie will never be made. It's a horrible idea, and Sony is slowly but surely coming to realize that their franchise is doomed without Marvel. Dollars to donuts this'll be confirmed before AOU.
