“Schneider has not returned The A.V. Club’s request for comment.”
This is the best thing I have read from the AV Club in a long, long time. Beautiful, heartbreaking essay!
It’s poetic justice how the closest thing Rob Schneider has to a comedy legacy is a parody of him made by more talented people.
I bet somewhere there’s a gymnastics coach named Ella and people call her Coachella as a joke.
What is Coachella demographic? How many people there even knew who Blur was and, if they do, only know Song 2? Which they call that “woohoo” song
You’ll have the strength of ten gorillas.
Reese Witherspoon is a Romulan?!?

AI is here to stay. Sure. But not in the way a lot of people (particularly people in the AI industry) think.
Yeah, exactly! Just like “fully automated factories will cause factory workers to lose their jobs!!!”
*from off-screen, a misshapen hand with eleven fingers gives Reese Witherspoon a bag with a dollar sign on it*
And it’s genuinely one of the best docs on filmmaking I've ever seen. And, I'm no fan boy about Apocalypse Now.
Hm. It's almost as though this whole concept is fucking stupid.
I didn’t watch a minute of this, but I am completely unsurprised that no one involved decided they needed a serious conversation about where they were going to live if they got together. Doesn’t get much different than New Jersey and South Carolina, never mind being 700 miles apart.
“Name one successful person who lived without air conditioning.”
“Balzac.”
“No need for potty mouth just because you can’t think of one.”
“But Balzac was-”
“Bup bup bup. If “ifs” and “buts” were candy and nuts y... How’s the rest of that go?”

“You liked Rashomon.”
“That’s not the way I remember it.”

Both the A and B…
Pam: This is bullshit!
Mystery Science Theater 3000 definitely would too. Their philosophy was always “It doesn’t matter if everyone gets the joke. The right people will.”
On Archer the joke would be how stupid making a Proust joke would me
