Thank you for covering this! This is indeed a maddening time to suddenly be into Halo again. Two weeks ago I bought the entire MCC for $15.99 on a Steam sale; last week Infinite’s lousy in-game shop had an outfit (and an ugly one at that) on sale for the equivalent of $17. Who approved upping the dosage on Crazy Pills?

Update: I don’t know where the hell else to scream about this but as of today’s Halo Waypoint update, 343i has implied they’re looking at incorporating MTX into the MCC. This is why we can’t have nice things.

It could have, but then they wouldn’t have generated the ad revenue, I guess. Sucks, it may have been telegraphed by the “previously on” but I still would have preferred having my hunches confirmed by the episode itself.

You send her into the ventilation shaft, not out of the airlock, you bosh’tet!

But did y’all reach out to Hard Drive for this? Sources say they love commenting, they are addicted to commenting.

I’d say I picked a shitty time to accidentally get into this game, but it indirectly lead me to discover that the Master Chief Collection was on sale for $17, so it wasn’t a total wash.

Re: Graggle

I choose to believe it’s a joke!

Great site, thanks for the link! Hopefully one day they can expand past mobile games and start listing exploitative AAA console & PC games, but one battle at a time, I suppose.

I, for one, appreciate the inclusion of Counterpoints and would like to see this sort of thing on more “controversial” articles in the future.

Watching the episode with Mutagen Man from the cartoon when I was a child was the first time I ever grappled with the concept of mortality. That commercial break was brutal.

2K’s marketing team also forces the obnoxious 2K Launcher to run every time I start Civ6, so I’m not surprised to see other people doing their jobs better than them.

Very tangentially related, but if you haven’t picked up the Squeenix Guardians game, try to scoop it when it’s on sale. It’s sort of the perfect marriage of the MCU-Guardians and the comics-accurate Annihilation depiction of the team while standing apart from both of them. You’re not going to get Vance Astro or

I unironically love this Kotaku article.

Guessing this is in response to the headline as opposed to the buried lede of inappropriately groping women.

Agreed on all points.

I’m still on Team Bubniak in terms of the face change, but I think this will effectively lay that debate to rest.

It’s a very clear homage to Shadow of the Colossus with added open-world QoL improvements with Zelda set dressing. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy both games, but yeah, it’s definitely had that “guy who made the joke vs. guy who said it louder” effect.
