I have several friends that are jumping on board and joining now and only about 50% of ppl I know attending have registered on FB, so yeah, I think it will YUGE. We won’t be the silent majority.

Thanks for sharing. it is indeed good news.

This would be “un-presidented.”

Totally OT, but I needed this smile this morning:

I’m just really tired of people demanding total purity. It’s annoying, and it’s big part of how we got to where we are. VAWA is one thing, but shipping drugs in from other countries could have all sorts of FDA related issues, etc, and like many things Bernie does, sounds good but hasn’t been thought through.

Nobody’s going to care about one procedural amendment vote after two years of Trump. Jesus, Bernie people are hyperbolic.

I thought that most people understood this and thought this way. Then a relative of mine developed a disability—and not something that you can see just by looking at him—and I realized that most people are, in fact, inconsiderate assholes. So now I’m on a one-woman crusade to protect disabled parking spots and seats

In addition to the points everyone else mentioned, this isn’t like a bathroom (where people will be done within a fairly short time frame) or the subway (where leaving the seat open may result in one person standing who could otherwise sit). I think people should be more thoughtful in those situations, but this is

Thank you! I have an invisible disability and it’s hard enough to get out and do things without having to explain to a stranger why I need that spot.

Thank you. Able bodied people that pull this are awful.

Here’s the thing: Many disabilities aren’t visible. Let’s take Reince Priebus out of this entirely for a second. Let’s say there’s just some guy sitting in the disabilities seat. How do we know if he’s disabled? We don’t. I assume since he’s sitting in that seat, he needs such accommodation. If I’m disabled, I’m not

I understand this, it makes sense. However, keep in mind that you may not be able to ‘see’ everyone’s disability in order to vacate it if someone else needs it and they may not want to ask you to move thinking you need it.

As someone who needs to use those spaces,I’ll tell you what I see as the problem with this . There were many, many other places where he can sit without any problem available at the moment this photo was taken. It shows, firstly, that he thinks he is above the need to obey these little ‘niceties’. In what other,

My Mom is disabled and this drive s me nuts too. I always look for a placard or plate (for a long time my Mom needed the spot but didn’t look like she did, and man did she get abuse from some people). And then I call the cops. They even come sometimes...

Yes. There is a food delivery guy that regularly parks in the blue spots in my mixed-use building. After he parked in the blue loading zone between the two parking spots I started questioning if maybe he has earned the status.

Not that it matters, given that Donald Trump’s father was a member of the Klan.

I did Nazi that coming.

But he doesn’t remember saying it, which means he didn’t.....just like Trump obviously wasn’t mocking that disabled reporter.

They also asked him if he ever said “LOCK HER UP!” during the campaign, and his response: “I did not... I don’t think.”
