Perez was a labor secretary who worked labor organization and reformed the civil rights division at justice, which makes him very well suited to try and win back union labor (which is the voting bloc that switched this round) and fight against the voter suppression that’s hurting mostly Democratic voters.

Honestly, I’ve been hoping Perez wins because I want Ellison to stay in Congress. If it’s working right, the DNC shouldn’t be high-visibility. It doesn’t set the chair up for future political success, and I want to see Keith Ellison as the goddamn Speaker, not a high-level manager.

The one Bernie-stan-turned-Stein-voter that I know, who thinks she knows everything about politics and who thinks she, is like, SO engaged? Didn’t even know who CORY BOOKER was.

Describing a block of individuals that don’t get out for midterms and who spite voted for Stein knowing the risk was a Trump presidency as “engaged” is laughable.
