You’re given a 0% interest 24 month loan. When you pay at least 12 of the 24 payments you can turn your phone in for an upgrade. you can order your new phone before turning the old one in (they’ll send you the prepaid packaging to return it). Your original loan is zeroed out and a new 24 month loan starts (hence the

The article didn’t explain it very well, but currently the “While in use” option is only available if the app makes it available, so an app might choose not to offer you that option. In iOS 11, it’s available for every app no matter if the developer offered it or not.

I keep revisiting Airmail from time to time, ever since it was initially released. I really want to love it, and I like the design better than spark or “Email” by Easilydo, but it’s always disappointing to find out it’s still buggy. Little things like taking actions on push notifications (i.e. Delete or Archive) only

Just put your phone near the reader. No need to open the wallet app or unlock the phone first. When it’s near an NFC reader it will automatically show up.

Apple TV supports HDMI CEC, so it can control your receiver volume over HDMI if it supports it (it’ll also set your receiver to the proper input automatically). If it doesn’t support CEC, you can have your Apple remote learn the IR code by pointing your remote of choice at the Apple remote and pressing the

They updated the Hue app with a “migration” process to migrate your bulbs to the new hub.

But it does have HealthKit integration. It’s been recording my temperature in the Health app ever since I got it.

The iPhone 6S does come with band 12 support which T-Mobile has been aggressively deploying and has much improved in-building reception (part of the reason they’re pushing this promotion). That being said, if you end up not liking their coverage they’ll refund you a month of service and either let you return the phone

Yes it is, but you can have up to 6 family members use the service at that price point, whereas spotify is a 2 user limit. Not much wowed me about apple music, but I think that kind of pricing for 6 people will be their strongest point for gaining some traction.

To clarify, you can download the FLAC files to your phone for offline listening. What I was getting at is, if you’re listening on-the-go (out in public, on a train, plane, etc) it’s probably going to be hard to hear the difference between lossless quality music and it’s mp3 equivalent, so I don’t see a *ton* of value

I’ve played up to 24/192 on my Mac through Vox/Loop. However, the iPhone hardware down samples this when output through the headphone jack (Vox doesn’t do any alteration). Outputting audio through the lightning port does support up to, i think, 24/96.

1) There doesn’t appear to be any tag editing ability. So far, they just store your music completely unaltered. Whatever metadata your files are tagged with when you upload them is what will show up in the app. If you need to make changes, it looks like you have to make them locally and re-upload. Also, Google Play

Google Music can’t store FLAC. It converts it to MP3 before uploading. LOOP stores the full FLAC (and you can re-download it) and it will stream to your phone or Mac in full lossless quality (I’ve been beta testing this service). That being said, you’re probably not going to tell the difference between FLAC and

Also note that your utilization/balance is only reported once or sometimes twice a month, depending on the bank, and it's most often the day after your credit card closing date. So unless you're not paying off your card and running a balance from month to month (which I don't think is the point of this tip), it

Looks like the Audio-technicas have jumped to $69

Oops, replied to the wrong post

Unlimited plans on Bitcasa are $99/*month* unless you were grandfathered in before they changed their pricing structure.

Correct, that is the most common way torrents are downloaded, since downloading the most readily available bits and pieces first is the most efficient. It is possible, though, in several torrenting programs to request that a torrent download its pieces "in order". For very popular downloads, this will work fine, but

UPnP library sharing has come a long way. I believe even the upcoming Gotham (v13) release of XBMC shares resume/watched status via UPnP and you get all the thumbs, fanart, etc. It would require that you enable UPnP sharing on one of your XBMC boxes that needs to be always on, and only that box indexes your NAS.
