Eh.
Eh.
We hide our shame so we can sling shade at others here in Albany. We apparently forgot to salt on Tuesday, so every bridge we have over the Hudson looked like this on Wednesday morning. We keep that news local so nobody knows.
I might have missed it, but what was the donor engine? It's not an LS7 right (7.0L), is it an LS1...?
All these nice pics, but nobody bothered to get video?!
Twin turbo V6, but only 250 HP? Is there like... A lot of tuning potential still left in that motor?
Wait.. does the internet not like the looks of these?! Am I in the wrong? I always thought this was a fantastic looking 5 series! Especially the M.
If you have the chance, could you take a picture of it parked next to a current gen Outback? I’d like to get an idea of how much bigger it is compared to something I already know.
Sorry guys, but....
I feel like just because you have $200k doesn’t mean you should spend $200k. Aren’t a lot of these cars especially bad financial decisions? Like, won’t Luke lose a pile of money in depreciation in a few years, especially with that commuter mileage?
I like this, I bet it’s fun, and it looks like it’s pretty nicely done. But I feel like 13.5k would be more appropriate than 23.5k. :( CP
Is just a 1-year-old car really used though Tom? I feel like if I’m looking to save money on a used car, I’m generally shopping cars which are 3-5 years old.
If you like this, check out the rest of the album—all the tracks are great!
I don’t think this is a law and I’m late to the party but I’m gonna mention it anyways: don’t drive with your left foot resting on the damn brake pedal!
One of these days, someone will actually make a car with those door mirror cameras instead of actual mirrors. I feel like we’ve been seeing these on concepts for a decade, and here they look even more like snail eye-stalks than usual.
I scrolled through like all the other comments and I don’t think anyone suggested a z4m, so here’s a picture of one of these beauties. I really dig the styling and the interior is room than you might think but went with the Vette in the end. Can be had for <30k. Nice C6 corvettes are in the low 30s and below now.
Might depend on your body type. At 6'7" I could only fit in 996/7 targas. The combination of low roof and really mimal leg room was a deal breaker. This guys experience may be different depending on his leg/torso ratio.
I was in the same market as this guy and just slightly taller (6'7") and unfortunately found E46 m3s to be too short on the headroom. I think it was the sunroof, but it’s so hard to find one without a sunroof. Which is a shame cause I really wanted to own one of those.
Will - these are all sweet recommendations, but I was also recently in the market for a fun weekend car at about your height (6'7") and I had a lot of trouble finding something I fit in comfortably. Definitely make sure you get some seat time in these cars, especially if you expect to wear a helmet ever. Especially…
I guess I’d like to know how tunable that motor is, or if it’s specs are sufficient to make it spunky and fun. Even though we will never get it here, especially at that price point. :(
