Can't help but like him.
Can't help but like him.
Time well spent.
Target locked, General Fluffington! Launch in 5...4....IS THAT A STRING?
Oh for sure, trying to rise above your station shall be PUNISHED. The only exception I can think of so far is the cute ginger maid from the first season who played Ygritte in GoT, and I can only assume that since she went into a different kind of servitude (being a secretary), she was allowed to pass.
Sexier every year.
I would never spoil, but be careful which other threads you click on :)
Well, there was that cook who refused to work in the same house with her, but she had that thrown back in her face in a pretty satisfactory way. And it's funny, because in real life it's usually the reverse — the men kind of shrug at it, and it's the women who make someone an outcast. So maybe not realistic, but…
Yes and yes.
I kind of started to hate it in the third season, but kept watching because it's so pretty to look at. It really has gone to shit, but keep wearing those clothes, Mary, and I'll keep watching you.
I don't have anything interesting to add, but I agree about the reactions everyone had to Ethel. It seemed to hit home particularly for everyone involved in the Mary situation with the dead Turk.
Maybe...how Mary (and then Edith, kind of) had intended to marry her first cousin before he went down with the Titanic? I got nothin either.
YES this is what I hated so much about this. I mean, I didn't/wouldn't have liked anything about it, but the only thing anyone worried about was how is Mr. Bates going to feel, what is Mr. Bates going to do, hope it's not the worst possible thi...well, shit. I loathe Mr. Bates and I hope he hangs for it.
They can't just be happy, ever, because Fellowes has to keep the drama high and emotional. It takes a deft hand to write about a happy marriage in a way that can be interesting for TV, and Fellowes ain't got it.
That just blows my mind, that they could enter my private space and take a living creature from it. I gotta get out of this state, man.
I just noticed that I didn't fix autocorrect's "correction" of your username, which btw is really clever.
One good thing about having cats is that they can be a great judge of character, and a good barometer of how new people in your life are going to work out. Sounds like your fiance scored his approval ;)
You're still just...failing to understand how to actually support your point. I'm starting to wonder if you even know how. Basically all you've said is that you're rubber and I'm glue and made some random assertions that could not be more vague.
I used to depend on it so much when I lived in Korea!
No? She WASN'T trying to build a new career (and life) for herself outside the family, in an area where she had no experience or education? I'm not saying her emotions aren't involved, but my point (which you are continually, hilariously missing) is that the consequences are so severe even for a lady from an ancient…
Where I live, when houses are listed for rent, they want someone to move in within 2 weeks, maybe a month. It's really stressful and I don't know why they can't give more notice.
