What kind of crack did you smoke to feel compelled to answer him with such an odd comment.
Well, seeing as GRRM clearly must have had the entire time-warging “meddling” thing in mind from the very beginning — in order for his name to even make sense — then you can rant about the series all you want, but it doesn’t make any sense to somehow insist that it’s D&D’s version you don’t like.
To me, there is a big difference between genetically modifying something by cross-pollinization in a greenhouse, or modifying via gene splicing in a lab. One is failrly natural, one is not. Dont add non plant traits to my plants. I just with they would separate the 2, they are both GM, but one is way more natural than…
More real version: Aliens, upon entering our outer solar system, discover there are vast quantities of resources to be harvested from the asteroid belt or outer planets than exist on puny third rock. Harvest all of those resources while we glare angrily at them from earth; drop mike and peace out to some place better.
The modern day Daario would be a guy in a leather jacket with tribal armband tattoo’s a Tapout T-shirt, and maybe a nose ring or two.
If plot is the only thing that generates stakes, then yes, but there was also character stakes. Will these people go too far and irreparably damage their relationships? Will they put away their own principles in order to win? Will they not pull their punches for that one moment out of anger and do real harm?
And sure,…
Other than War Machine nearly died? And had a broken back? And half of them (the ones with kids they're not about to see any time soon) ended up in The Raft? No stakes, at all.
I ask for suggestions from the public until i don’t like them, then i do as i please.
The original short story/novella ends much more ambiguously (though slightly hopeful). Stephen King actually prefers the movies bleak ending (and so do I, personally) and has said that he wishes he had thought of ending it that way.
People immediately think of the Hound? I would have thought LSH was a far more common consideration. It’s who I immediately thought of when I saw the headline that a character was coming back.
I swear to god, this is the worst bullshit sales pitch I have ever heard.
You can’t show a difference in the medium, because YouTube and a gif don’t support 4k resolution, but there’s totally a difference. One image has warm colors and one has cool colors.
OMFG YA FUCKIN THINK?
I am sure 4k is better, but to be honest…
Rick was shot in the line of duty...
Could someone explain to me why people needed to be reminded what Star Wars was? Had people forgotten? The prequels were hugely successful, and people were buying tickets for The Force Awakens months in advance despite having no clue what the plot was going to be. It’s not like the franchise was struggling. They could…
It’s J.J. Abrams, which means her parents are totally in the movie.
“I want to stress one thing: these guys aren’t motorcyclists, they’re assholes on motorcycles. And there’s absolutely a difference.”
You might be missing the context.
I starred your comment not because of FtWD specifically but because ALL of io9's recaps have turned into hate-watching screeds. We get it, you don’t like the show. Headline the story “Fear the Walking Dead is Bad. Don’t Watch It” and leave it at that.
There. Fixed it for you.
Whatever you thought about that ending (more on that in a minute), one thing is for certain: The Walking Dead knows how to deliver an intense episode without anyone dying or fighting. Hell, I was anxious watching Abraham drive that Winnebago because he wouldn’t keep his damn eyes on the road. One of the things that…
