I had one——-58,000 miles, mint condition. Would leave me stranded by the side of the road 4x/year for new and creative reasons every time, without warning. Can’t imagine one with 5x the mileage. And yet, I want it.

Only reason to get a GTS is to get a manual transmission. Otherwise, might as well get a Turbo for almost identical money but much faster.

I have owned multiple Range Rovers, from early Classics, to late soft dash classics, to P38’s, to 3rd Gens. They aren’t the best at much of anything.....they just have so much damn character that you can’t help but love them.

Thought this would be about the band....not disappointed.

I’m not sure what risk has to do with sales volume? The all aluminum F150 was a HUGE risk. Does the fact that they are selling kajillions of them make it any less of a risk? Hell no—-it’s just a risk that paid off. If risks that flop is your bellweather, look at SMART (slow deathtraps that aren’t that fuel

How much faster does this version of the 2.0 get clogged up with carbon deposits?

You allude to a big part of the problem.....they want the performance image without the commitment to performance. No enthusiast I know (even those who like *gack* Automatics and DSG’s) wants a CVT. On top of that, the last Nissan product I did attempt to love (a 6 speed G37S sedan) had a manual transmission that

That’s my point.....people seem to have a need these days for the most important thing, in any situation, is “who’s the good guy, and who’s the bad guy”. This clip—-Is the Ferrari driver an a-hole or is the car that pulled out an idiot—-WHO CARES—-WE NEED TO INTERNET CONVICT SOMEONE!”. It’s not just this article, it’s

As is normally the case these days, instead of just taking the video at face value (“holy #$%^ that was a close call”), the first step of the majority of commentators is “who can we blame for what”? Life in general has become a veritable witch hunt.

I rarely, if ever do the LOL thing just from reading something on the interwebs, but this line “its V6-powered Acura RLX has attained the same sales success as a DVD rewinder.” was straight up lollers. Thanks

Wow, that’s some golf clap of a roast!

a 2001 740i sport is probably my pick too, but to be different I’m going to go with an e32 1988 735i . Why? Because manual transmission.

To be precise my argument was that if you thought people who liked manuals did so because it made them feel exclusive, it meant a) you weren’t one of those people who knew how to drive one, so you were just talking out your arse, or b) you did know how to drive a stick and it made you feel exclusive. My fault was in

You made the strawman argument that if people like manuals it’s because it makes them feel like exclusive club members. Unless driving your manual transmission car makes you feel that way, it seems like a strange assertion. I’d be fine if the manual/auto ratios on car sales were reversed—-I just enjoy driving them

Can you use a clutch pedal? You sound like you can’t use a clutch pedal.

Next article. “Standing up to pee isn’t always the right option.”

Uber.

Agree, it takes some seriously effed-up moral gymnastics to make the trespassing truck driver the victim here.

Sheesh, no mention yet of Hunter’s partner McCall driving one of these? Am I the only old guy left around here?
