these are really all the major complaints seem to say:

material plays a big role; this articles misses that the majority of the movies on the list (bottom of the article for the lazy), though they fall into a number of categories, use source material that depicts these characters as White, male, straight, etc. Spiderman? Ye, PP is white. Million Way to Die in the West?

No they don't produce venom at all. They have no venom glands. That along with their 1 body segment is one of the things the set them apart from spiders.

None of these movies are "bad," and it bothers me when critics or people who think they are critics say things are "bad." None of these movies, not even the Hobbit are written or filmed to be masterpieces; they are not Oscar fodder. They are all what they are. Most of them are fun, action-sequenced and gimmicky, and
