I think it's really interesting that despite some indications that esports is growing now, fatality is still the highest earning gamer of all time. I don't know for sure but is he even still a pro? I know when I was playing games a lot in the Quake 2/3 days he was the man, but that's a long time ago.

If you really think about it though, the developers are in the exact same position they would be with traditional physical media. If it is your intention to play a single player game, then give it or even sell it to your friend, who then plays it and passes it on, the developer still only gets paid once.

I guess I would have enjoyed it more if it was simply challenging and not challenging and extremely repetitive.

My gripe with Dark Souls was that it felt like they made it difficult just for the sake of being difficult. I have no problem with hard enemies and low amounts of health etc, but why if I kill 100 enemies, then return to the camp fire, do I need to kill those same 100 enemies again, including bosses.

It might have something to do with how many recommends you get from authors. I *think* that I am out of the grey, and I think it's because I am fairly new so I don't have a large number of comments but still have several comments recommended by a couple different authors.

I understand where you're coming from, and to each their own, however I think that you can break down not only any game, but any genre into similarly simplistic basic formulas. Any FPS could, for example, be reduced to "walk forward, kill anything that shoots at you, watch cutscene, repeat.", any RTS could be

I can't believe that there are 12 people in this world that hate skyrim.

The fact that Titanfall is $12 cheaper than it will be on consoles BEFORE IT EVEN LAUNCHES makes me extremely tempted to forgo this console cycle and build a PC.

Agreed 100%, i actually didn't mind AC3 apart from the ending, and it was the only one out of 1 2 and 3 that I didn't get bored with before reaching the ending. But the naval combat was incredibly simplistic, and definitely not the highlight of the game IMHO.

I know, it was just a funny coincidence to me :)

Must be something in the water in Canada, first the lady who made the original complaint and now you.

Agreed on the Oculus rift, but what are the chances that it becomes something more than just a niche product? If sales don't justify developers spending a significant amount of time/money developing for it, it'll just be potential wasted.

If you haven't checked out the PCGamesN link and listened to the comms embedded, I highly suggest you do so. I have never seen or played EVE online, so like a lot of others was bored to tears by the video, but the comms of the aftermath is pure gold and had me laughing out loud multiple times. The juxtaposition of

So basically, the cost of an Xbox One.

One douche bag, at presumably a pretty large convention, does not a news story make.

If I wanted to play all the current gen games in 1080p say, how much would that run me? I'm assuming closer to the 800 range? How long could I reasonably expect that rig to continue to play games at acceptable quality/frame rate levels? I used to be a PC gamer, but have grown to like the fact that my 360 will play

So here's my question, I have currently pre-ordered the Xbox One, but I keep seeing all these sales on steam and other PC sites, and I'm wondering if I might be better off building a gaming PC. However, I don't have space in my apartment for a desk with a desktop, monitor etc. (thank you NYC real estate) and I have

This game with the oculus rift will be unbelievable.

No problem, I'm in the market for a new 1080p tv around 40 inches, so I got a little excited. Have you seen that LG model in person? A lot of amazon reviews are saying that they died within hours or days of use...

That TCL tv is coming up at $499.00 for me and not shipping for 2-4 months...
