This is how it isn’t better than my cheap-ass econobox. Because my (now two-owner) loaded-out 2011 Clubman S had a $15k entry fee, doesn’t require a Ford Econoline-equivalent amount of space to park it (important in the Bay Area), lets me row my own, probably has about as much storage capacity, and is matter-of-factly…
That was absolutely one of the best vehicular showcases I’ve seen in a long time. I’m not even a big drifting fan, but that made me giddy.
...I’ll take my money to Porsche for a 911, thanks. An apples to oranges comparison, perhaps. But if I had this sort of money to spend on a new car, it wouldn’t be an NSX.
Cayman GT4 and STi so good ...they get listed twice...? ;)
Fair enough. But barring that severe of an approach, it’s also fair to say that not all vehicles get better over time. Having to keep up with an ever-increasing and changing regulations set does not make for “better” cars necessarily.
I think this might be the most anti-Jalop comment. Ever. This community could procure a list of vehicles that only got worse over time.
Being a fan of motorcycle racing, I get how photo stills are somewhat misleading to what’s all going on, but I love pointing out the mysticism and magic of the act. :)
Barring the fact that I am a complete and utter racing amateur AND that I have never been to Pikes Peak (AND... whatever else you wish to include to discount my opinion), seeing his sector times go from -3.0sec to +1.0sec to -4.0sec makes me think that there ...maybe... is room for improvement. Significant, if I may…
Just because they can’t do better, doesn’t mean they won’t do it. Because advertising.
Interesting.
Every supercar.
