Yeah, it’s more of an urban/rural split than a regional one.

Agreed. If the Dems win the Senate, nuking the SC filibuster should be the first order of business. If they don’t do it first and get their Court nominees in, then Repubs will definitely do it the next time they have both the WH and Senate.
Right-wing ideology.
I’ve seen some people speculate on Twitter that Russian hackers/Wikileaks released these probably authentic and unexciting emails in order to lull everyone into accepting the leaks as legit. Then they’ll release documents that are doctored.
Matt Ylglesias suggested Clinton should put some of her policy proposals about expanding the child tax credit and making drug laws less punitive in an email and send it to Wikileaks. Maybe that way the media will actually cover her ideas.
Clinton has never said she’s anti-bank. She wants to reform the banks....which is pretty much what Bernie wants to do too.
Yep. Also, no one has pointed out that ANY political campaign’s internal conversations could be spun to seem sinister. They’re spitballing, which is going to necessarily include bad ideas or clumsy language that might offend certain pundits or voters.
What’s funny is that there’s a line from the hacked Goldman speeches in which Hillary says the American people are really smart and won’t fall for partisan tricks. Alas.
Trump is more like Sarumann
Wikileaks published a bunch of Podesta’s private emails last week from a Russian hack. In one of the emails, he extolls the virtues of adding liquid to risotto gradually rather than dumping it all in at once.
I’m not a dude, but I thought The Concourse/Adequate Man had some of the best GM content. It was like Lifehacker with a sense of humor.
He’s still listed as one of their authors. He very occasionally still writes a column, but he’s mainly focusing on the Black Panther comic.
IDK. The Atlantic has always been this way. They have both Conor Friedorfson and Ta-Nehisi Coates as columnists. They frequently reprint Ron Fournier pieces from National Journal as well as Slate-like defenses of MRAs and other odious types next to articles about feminism and identity politics. I think they do this to…
Yeah, you’re right. I can’t believe I forgot about Burneko’s epic politics rants throughout the primary.
Left of Republicans can still be centrist.
Yeah, you’re right. I get them mixed up because there The Concourse would usually publish all the Adequate Man stuff anyway.
Russia is actively interfering in our election. The Democrats’ concern over that (and Republicans’ curious lack of concern) is not “useless”.
Rob Delaney is doing something similar, but from the left:
IIRC, The Concourse was more focused on Drew’s Funbag, Ley’s bear news, and occasional pieces about how to buy man clothing or other dude advice. It wasn’t all that political.
