She’s an exceptionally honest politician according to Politifact. The only reason why people distrust her is decades of Republican propaganda and/or latent sexism.

Yeah, they basically are mutually exclusive. You know why? You cite no real evidence that she feels entitled. That’s just your personal feeling.
Yep. Some have compared Kaine’s interruptions and repetition of questions and points to what a good attorney would do during a deposition of a crucial witness. You could tell he was starting to wear Pence down toward the end of the debate, which is when the latter made his, “whipping out that Mexican thing” gaffe.
Agreed. I also think it would be great if Pareene would use his perch in media to encourage young voters to turn out in midterms and elect POC. You can’t get an “exciting” crop of national candidates without giving POC the opportunity to build up their resumes at the state level first. But that would require him to…
Yeah, lots of people have forgotten (or never knew) that Kaine was on Obama’s VP shortlist. And that plenty of pundits thought Biden wasn’t a sensible choice, but one that wouldn’t excite the base.
No, there wasn’t. Look at all the people on the shortlist: they were either Senators in red states or people who lacked electoral or governing experience.
His experience as a housing discrimination attorney is of particular relevance given Donald Trump’s history of housing discrimination.
The campaign has been doing all that. If you don’t know that, you clearly aren’t on their mailing lists or attending their rallies or reading campaign materials.
Which is a direct result of Dems (especially young people) not turning out in off-years to elect Democratic senators, representatives, and governors—which is where most of our presidential/vice-presidential candidates get their experience and exposure.
Name one VP pick who has Kaine’s credentials and experience but is also Latino.
Hillary clearly does NOT have a sense of entitlement. If she did, she wouldn’t be working as hard as she is to be elected. Nor would she have incorporated big chunks of Bernie Sanders’ policy proposals into the party platform and her own campaign. JFC.
Alt left is a pretty good name and I’ll continue to use it. It applies to all the white dudebros who care about legalizing pot, free college tuition, and breaking up the banks. They not only don’t give a shit about anyone who’s not a white man, but are actively racist and sexist.
Pareene’s judgment regarding Clinton’s campaign strategy has been fucking awful this year, probably due to his bias towards Sanders. He can barely deign to acknowledge how well Clinton is doing so he picks at her judgment in all kinds of snide ways that don’t make sense given the facts on the ground.
Not unless Putin develops a sudden interest in gossip bloggers.
Your friend is expressing a common (but not at all universal) sentiment among Asian Americans, unfortunately. This resentment of ‘other’ immigrants who seem to be enjoying unearned advantages is pretty common. It’s a variation of the “fuck you I got mine” thing.
Backstabby, stabby! Pence may have calmed down jittery Republicans, but I bet he riled up Trump...just in time for the second presidential debate! Great timing. Now Trump has 4 days to stew over Pence’s betrayal.
I loved how Kaine gave Pence a look like, “you’ve got to be kidding me,” after he dropped that Reagan-shaped dookie.
True. Even in a normal election, VP candidates rarely have much of an effect on the presidential race. And the vp debates even less so.
For one thing, I wouldn’t let him be the banker.
THAT’S EXACTLY WHO PENCE IS GODDAMN I’VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT FOR MONTHS
