They don’t often have the video equipment in the cell. Appearing in court doesn’t mean it has to be in-person.

Why would he need to be in court in person? There’s a goddamn pandemic, that’s what video is for.

Missing from this is the part the courts played. If the guy is to be in court the judge on that court may hold the cops in contempt for failing to produce him at the scheduled time, regardless of the reason, causing the cops to take desperate measures to meet that timeline.

People assume infidelity to be the number one cause, but I also heard some years ago that financial issues are actually the primary cause.

Not 100% sure of this but I did hear once that most marriages collapse due to financial strain. We don’t hear about this with celebrity marriages so much since they often are relieved of that concern.

I happen to agree with your mother. Women leave when they are unhappy and would do better alone than navigating a shit relationship. Men generally only leave when they have another destination - men generally speaking do not do well on their own.

They tell you not to make big decisions for a year after a spouse dies.  Seems to me well-publicized rehab falls into the same category, but I’m not in a position to tell him that.

Say what you want, for a few years in the 90s the Steve Urkel was a legitimate pop culture phenomenon. It didn’t make sense then, and it doesn’t make sense now, but we can’t pretend it didn’t happen. People thought Urkel was hilarious.

I had aged out right when Family Matters was huge, that show and Urkel didn’t make me laugh once.
