I saw Whedon, in the flesh, at a Comic Con party about 10 years ago, & couldn’t help but feel creepy vibes at the way he circled the periphery of the dance floor, leering at people. At first I questioned my initial impression, telling myself “maybe he’s actually just a shy guy?”

It honestly sounds like he made the most rational decision re: parole versus full release. Parole has too many hoops and is pretty much designed to set up failure and recidivism. And for an 80-year old on a fixed income with very limited income/ housing options? Yeah, he didn’t stand a chance.
