The better meta from Jay and Silent Bob is (just because it feels like they know the movie they're in, and what kind of movie it is to boot):

There's always this one:
As a girl who went to Texas Girls State this year, and will actually be attending Girls Nation in just a few weeks, I can say I do not have words for how mad this has made me. Girls state is such an amazing experience, and to hear how different Boys state is has made many of us very upset. Here in Texas, Boys State…
With everything you said, plus it being Indiana, all I can think of is the Pawnee Goddesses:
This just confirms my anecdata from high school that teenagers are incredibly misogynistic. I wish they all had to take a comprehensive sex ed class that covered shit like "Having sex does not make you a stud and her a slut", "Two people are responsible for a pregnancy", and "Consent 101: everyone involved has to be…
I liked the sex stuff. But also hated that it meant nothingness.
That is *literally* how I realized it was a dream. Not the soft lighting or the scene itself (I spent a bit wondering if that was Jason's fae great grandfather/twin from the books and referenced by Warlow and someone else because they were starting with some random back story bc why the fuck not), but the fact that…
Also: Are you trying to tell me that no one in Bon Temps has a gun of their own? Seriously? The only option is to mob the police station? Seriously?
Ugh. I'm definitely just hate-watching at this point.
"misery porn" Wow. Such a great phrase. Thank you!
"misery porn" aptly described Lost for me.
Calm down, TRT-X. Just accept it, and then we can have pizza...and margarita shooters!
If science fiction has any "redeeming social importance" it's in making us expand the boundaries of the possible and remind us that the search for answers is worthwhile even if we never get the ones we want. "It happened. We can't figure anything out. But we can moan and have a crisis about it" is a denial of all the…
The book annoyed me for treating the cause as unimportant. Ultimately, I didn't bother finishing the book, and I won't waste my time on the series. The day to day drama would be interesting if it went hand in hand with answering a damned good question, but ultimately it's just misery porn.
They have to beat the Klingons back to Babylon 5, so they need the Event Horizon because it has a working Infinite Improbability Drive. They explained it back in season 2. (Good thing they didn't roll a natural 1 on Out-Of-Left-Field Alien Race, or else they'd have to deal with Vogon poetry.)
...Why are they on Moya?
Maybe I'm different, but I wouldn't call the people making harmful choices to be "nice". I call them assholes. In this very experiment, the opposites are in no way ornery & disagreeable for refusing to make choices that hurt others. THEY are the nice people. Obeying orders or "playing by the rules" doesn't make…
If someone is always nice to you, that doesn't make them automaticly fake. it just means they don't trust you.Maybe they've been burned and this is their way of keeping you at a distance and has nothing to do with you personally. How many people at work do you know who would put themselves at risk for you and how many…
I've always kind of had a crush on French Stewart...that's the first time I've ever admitted that. I don't know why I like him?
I thought the same thing.
Should we start a change.org petition?
