Period comedies can work, but period dramas? They seem to be a real tough sell and have been for a long time. Plus, it's comic-book but not comic-book-comic-book which probably alienates a lot of people while attracting few, and it's comic book without a clear, direct tie in to well-known properties. But mostly I'd

How about some delicious Colt 45?

My fave was when Beavis and Butt-Head get somehow on a fake-Limbaugh show and they use fake-swear-words "dill-hole, etc." that nonetheless cause everyone to totally lose their shit. A censored complaint about censorship, but played completely straight.

She was supposedly the next big thing for about three months; even Julia Ormond had a better prefab career.

Start a gambling habit and borrow money from sketchy people to keep it going? That might be a good start.

Lupus took the life of Flannery O'Connor
She wrote many books before death came upon her
She wrote a lot of tales about folks down in lazy towns
You ain't seen nothing as slow as those folks shuffling 'round

Creepy, but could be creepier: B-

Reubella?

Why would I need to?

Scripts; mankind's ancient enemy. When tamed and properly taken care of, they can become things of staggering beauty. But just grabbing a ratty, feral thing off the street (or a pack of red Bull) and expecting it to tell the story of your movie is just asking to fail.

That's the other guy from Wang Chung, right?

This does make me perversely fascinated to see a scene like this played honestly, where the hero is just bruising and even bloodying their now-clearly-dead loved one. I don't mean a minor character and a "dude, give it up, she's gone" but a crying, traumatized, hysterical person clearly unwilling to accept the truth

So what is it?

Don't all SNL writers have Ivy League degrees? I mean, lots of people do, but I wonder sometimes if there's an element of separation there. The in-the-wild dowdy, put-upon loser doesn't typically have that background, and while it's not that complex to fake, to whatever degree it is faked. Fey didn't have to work two

It's never Die hard on a toilet. Other than the opening part of Lethal Weapon II, maybe. Where else is a big man most vulnerable, where it's basically impossible to look cool?

Aw, that makes me sad.

Looking down on people who expect narrative, plot or coherence doesn't exactly make you look good. These are supposed to be movies, not museum exhibits.

It's tough man; people never get to see LA any more. But eventually the states who give off insane tax incentives (which apparently can be transferred so it's really just flat-out cash) will realize they're totally being played for suckers and movies will have to return to LA like God intended.

KOTOR II actually has a pretty vocal backing on the internet. I'm not one of them (I hated it with the fire of a thousand suns), but the whole "Force is more complex than previously thought" seems to resonate with a lot of people.

She doesn't seem to be lacking for work.
