Love these cars. Parts availability going forward? Not so much. 

No cables in that shift linkage. First gear engagement difficulties are synchro related (at the very least). I wanted a Chalon 914 SO badly when I was a teenager. Man, are teenagers ever dumb. 

I believe coolant reaches operating temperature sooner than oil does.

Nice enough car. Center instrument panel = crap. Deal killer for me. 

Then again, Dr. Frank-Stefan Walliser is enjoying a casual breakfast at the hotel right now. So, I'm assuming they aren't going for any record runs at this point. 

Yeah, it was fun to watch, but a tease for sure. Then again, probably unwise to go for a record in front of a crowd after vintage cars have been dropping oil. I hope they try today.
