My problem with most controllers (X-box standard, mostly) is that the D-pad is a plus sign. That makes sense as far as the eye goes, but not ergonomically. If the D-pad was an X instead of plus, that would better align it with the thumb (my thumb, anyway): with an X D-pad, up-down would be parallel to the thumb, so…
