This! I worked at the Ford Technical Hotline, and half the people there didn't even know which one they were dealing with.. "It's uh, a '13, MKX, or Z or S or T..what ever the hell the Flex based one is."

Yeah, but you can run a 4:56 final drive with a 8 Speed as a Daily Driver!

It's funny to me how most Michiganders talk so highly of Ann Arbor. When I moved to Michigan, my new friends were all like "Dude, you're from Colorado, you'll love it out there!" and in actuality, I hated it because it reminds me of Boulder, one of my least favorite places in Colorado.

Awh, good old Ida, was just there last December for the Christmas Parade.. good times, good times.

Dang it Aaron, if only you had written this article a year and a half ago, I wouldn't have moved to Melvindale. All kidding aside, as someone whose an outsider, living in the Detroit region was a hell of an experience.

Go figure, I just worked on one of those the other day.. if you're serious about one, it's for sale here in Colorado. Black, low mileage, nice truck.

Actually, the big engine in the Taurus was the 3.8.. but the Duratec's were great engines.. beat a couple Hondas in my Grandma's Taurus Wagon back in Highschool. These cars may seem pretty bad by today's standards, but you have to remember, for a while they were selling over 300,000 of these.. per year.

It was a shit show, to say the least. I felt like I was living "Office Space"

lol the Henry Ford is a very cool place as well. Too many cool things to see in one day. My dad was the same way when I took him there.. and we sat on the Rosa Parks bus for at least 15 minutes.

Beautiful! Where was this picture taken?

It must be working though, because their quality control at that plant seems to be better than the KMO plant (other F150 plant)

Yeah, there's some kind of template deal, but I saw that too and it blew my mind lol. Great tour, eh?

If you're ever in the area, the Dearborn Truck Plant tour is well worth the 15 dollars. There's a cool elevated platform that goes through a lot of the plant, and it gives you a great appreciation for how much goes on at once, and how incredible their quality control is with so many processes taking place at once. The

Pure Michigan! I'm mostly amazed that it's a clear, sunny day there.

Correct. I worked at the Ford Technical Hotline, and they said a lot of the problem was going from the bullet proof 7.3 that you could skimp on the maintenance and get 800k out of, to a 6.0 that required regular scheduled maintenance. If you strayed from the maintenance schedule, you're going to need a lot of work.

You are correct, you could order the F650/F750 with a Gas V10, CAT Diesel or a 300hp Cummins Diesel.

"Did ya dick er?" -Said in a Canadian Redneck Accent

Property Taxes are very high in Michigan.. I'd figure at least 10x what you'd purchase the land for lol

Now playing

The #mustanginspires campaign. It should have been lots of sweet footage of drag racing, burnouts, and acceleration, and instead it was some hipsters flying a kite and some girl traveling around the world. So disappointing that I decided to make my own tribute video.

It's hard to admit for me being a die hard Ford guy, but I'll take a V8 over a V6 regardless of who makes it.
