I have yet to actually go into a tire shop where they knew what the hell they were talking about or trying to push some different tires on me (along with being WAY overpriced). I do my diligent research online, buy online then take them local to have them installed.

I had a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/Ss that chunked tread after 5k miles. I was pissed.

Tires have came a long way in the past decade, any mid range tire will be enough for 95% of the drivers on the road, no you do not need PSS to drive 3 miles to your office.

Sorry, but I can buy internet tires for less than half the cost, add in inflated installation costs at my local tire place and I am still coming out at less than the cost of just the tire if bought locally.

Nope, I have seen base diesel engine Skoda Octavia wagons towing a decent size caravan down the M5 at 70+

Wont have a limited slip, it will have a welded diff, no AC, no PS, a grip royal steering wheel and beer tap shift knob.

I traded my JDM Galant VR4 for a WRX just for that reason. An awesome car does not always make a good daily lol. The What it was always in the back of my head, having nightmares or having to source some specific JDM parts to get her going again. Now I just live in fear of ringland failure lol.

Here is my list of things I would like to do and some I have done.

As a little kid I loved the looks of these things...now I just dont know what the hell I was thinking. I also liked the looks of the Escort GT back then.

I think I paid $250 for GAP through my credit union on a $40k car.

I get GAP coverage no matter what if I am making payments. It only ads like $3 a month or something small like that.

Used WRX prices are a crazy thing lol. I think I made a sound purchase in my STI, I should not lose too much money on it, and my mega high mileage bugeye wagon should never be worth less than what I paid as long as its running.

I think a portion of the MOTOREX R34's were grandfathered in.

Holy crap, you just described every car I have owned in the last 3 years!  Of course we all know that a clean engine bay and paint that has been clay barred, poilished and waxed makes the car mechaincally good lol.

North San Diego street racing scene in the early 00's was crazy. So many cool cars, such massive crowds. I remember when the WRX started showing up and basically smoking everything in the short races. They started doing the street legal drags at Qualcom stadium to try and curb the street racing, but the hardcore

The thermostat on the 2014 X3 with N20 I had did not even mak it through its initial lease before losing the thermostat.  And it sounded like a diesel when cold.

Oooohh good one, I completely forgot about the carbon buildup on the N55's!

N series are reliable if you overlook the stretched timing chains, disintigrating timing chain guides, failing timing chain tensioners, failing oil pumps, thermostats that last about 25k miles and thats just the N20. The N55 gets to add HPFP issues (yes, still) and turbos that like to shit their wastegates.

I am rather dissapointed they went with BMW power plants. They are maintanance pigs. That was the beauty of the 2JZ, it was a very simple, robust, strong power plant that only required 90's Toyota levels of maintenance.

100% CP without a fresh rebuild. I owned a TII that gave up an apex seal at 118k miles and a FB that became a smokes screen at 114k miles, both seemed to run perfect up until the point they let go.
