Only 500 sold, modified transmission, engine changes (they are expected to dyno way over the 310 hp factory estimate) real aero, etc. Plus it has all the options the $45k STI limited has minus the sunroof as standard.

Must be a drought of them down here in the SE then, because within a 3 hour drive there was literally only 1 for sale, and it was +10k. The one dealer that was getting them trickling in and selling at MSRP had 8 people on a waiting list.
I love mine, but its practically worthless (in S2000 prices) due to having 247k miles (100k on new engine). Body is absolutely pristine, new top, etc. I am just going to keep it and continue to daily it through the summer. I will probably buy a last gen Prelude as my winter beater and mod the crap out of the S2000…
That is the only reason I did not buy a Civic Type R instead of my STI, the only dealer with one in stock had a $10k markup on it!
I always buy new, but last month I was looking at cars that were excluded from any manufacturer financing specials (Focus RS and STI) so on those cars my credit union was able to get me the best rate easily, plus I do not want my credit score to take a large hit with multiple enquiries that some dealers like to run.
I was referring to the ones that have been selling on BaT and the other auctions, which are usually lower mileage ones, but still selling for north of 20k. I did not pay anywhere near that for my starship mileage AP1 lol, but its still worth a decent amount.
Guess I should clarify, I was looking at cars that were excluded from any manufacturer financing specials (STI and Focus RS).
That’s around what my credit union gave me (which was their lowest possible rate) but the dealers were higher due to me looking at “specialty cars” (STI and Focus RS, which are always excluded from the good deals lol).
The cars I was looking at did not have good dealership financing offers like that. (STI and Focus RS) I qualify for they lowest possible rates and they still could not touch Navy Fed.
I cant believe 80% of people use dealers for financing. I use my credit union, they always beat the dealer’s advertised best rates by quite a large margin.
S2000's are going for well over 20k now for sub 100k mile examples.
Yup, the ones that have been up on auction have been going for really healthy amounts. Hopefully that drags my high mileage AP1 up with it lol.
This list is wrong lol. Its the first one, then Tokyo drift, then all the others. After Tokyo Drift the cars took a backseat to cheesy action with cars mixed in.
Late 2011, I had the cash to buy a P-car. I had the choice of the following 3:
I am going with gargantuan truck.
You sure it was 320MB? I did not think HDD’s got that big until around 1998 or 1999.
I love these, I really do, but I just cannot get myself to purchase a car in which the engine is considered a 80k mile consumable (slightly exaggerated, but you get the point).
No rust (that I can see) and a top that is not ripped and has a back window that is decent? NP all day.
I passed on a sub 100k mile, stock, clean pre purchase inspection ‘84 911 for $15k in 2011 :(
I lived in the UK and the US both and carried the same insurance company (USAA) with similar coverage both places (collision, liability, theft, etc) and the prices were just slightly higher in the UK. But that was on a Genesis Coupe 3.8 that is not sold in the UK so that may have had some bearing on the price.
