I was also dissapointed in not having Apple car play, although I AM happy about Sirius/XM, something my $45000+ BMW X3 did not have (it did not have car play either).

Show me a Civic Type R selling for MSRP (I looked all over the SE for one) IF they were in stock, then they were 10k+ over. The ONE dealer I found selling at MSRP + 1500 had 8 people on a wait list.
I agree, I just bought a 2018 STI and have zero complaints about the interior, and I am coming from a 2014 BMW X3 with completely upgraded interior, tech package, etc.
That are a total pain in the ass to keep clean!
Pretty sure it will dyno at more, just like 2018's dyno over 10whp higher than 2014 and earlier models.
AP1 and 2018 STI owner here. The STI is absolutely wonderful on the highway noise and ride-wise compared to my S2000.
Don’t care at all. I actually wonder why people would buy an STI WITHOUT the rear wing, like it or hate it, that monster wing is what sets STI’s apart.
Absolutely. I traded in a BMW X3 with dynamic handling for my 2018 STI. No regrets and I sleep better at night knowing my car is not depreciating like a rock.
I have a couple:
Those stupid things were like cocroaches and the bane of my existance when I was living in the UK. Normally driving at least 15mph UNDER the speed limit, turn signal permanently on, comfort braking at evey slight bend of the road, inability to comprehend a simple roundabout. UGH, thanks for triggering me.
This is why I never even deal with dealer financing anymore. My bank offers better rates. When I just bought our STi, I went in, we did the numbers to finally get to where I wanted, called the bank, drove to nearest branch and came back with a check for the dealer. The dealer even admitted they could not touch my…
Just bought an ‘18 STi, the interior is not bad at all, dash material is not quite as nice as the ‘14 BMW X3 I traded in, but overall I cant complain.
4 doors and a family, that is why.
Problem with Cadillac’s are their abysmal depreciation and they are priced at or above their German rivals (I really wanted an ATS-V, but not at the price they want).
Sometimes they pop up on the MKIV forums, but mainly you just have to keep your eye out on Gumtree or ebay motors. I know you can certainly get early NA manuals very cheaply. I was looking before I moved back to the states last summer.
Tell me about it, a girl in my class had a brand new ‘96 or ‘97 automatic NA version.
Import one from the UK, you can get a TT for about $7500, a non turbo for well under $5000 all day long, even after import fees, etc you are still under $10k. And driving a RHD car is not too bad.
Nah, I had a 2004 CLK500 and it was dead realiable in the 20k miles we drove it. Biggest issue was that it liked to pop driver side headlight ballast’s (that you had to pull the bumper to replace) and I had to replace the driver side window switch pack.
When I buy a house with a barn I will have multiple bad decisions, these will include a 1988 Chrysler Conquest, a 1986 Merkur XR4Ti and a 1990 300zx non turbo, 2 seat 5 speed.
I would have an RX8 if I had the room or money to keep a couple additional new engines around. When I was looking at them back in the UK it was pretty much common knowledge that that engine is esentially a maintenance consumable at about 80k miles. For some reason I see a lot more higher mileage ones for sale here in…
