I had a video camera and some pretty expensive sunglasses disappear either in Casablanca (my point of origin) or Lisbon (my overnight transfer) from my checked luggage on my trip home about a year ago. I could live without those things. If my laptop were to go missing from checked luggage, I’d be utterly distraught.
