I’ve mainly been at my own since we added boards in 2000, but I was also at FFGurus for a long time before they forgot to renew their domain name and vanished.

I go a little further back than that, 1997 to be precise, but you’re exactly right!
Awesome - I just posted that FF6 got me into my career as well, though I didn’t think I would ever make it with a job in games themselves.
Ditto this question!
Started building websites in high school using Final Fantasy VI as the template for walkthrough content. Got my first professional software development internship three years later, been a web software engineer full-time since 2004.
And my site is still out there, indeed.
This game is responsible for my entire career. Can’t be much more happy with a game than that scenario.
Any time I get on a new console, I fire up the browser once just to see how my website looks on that particular machine. After that, pretty much never again.
Just sounds like an opportunity for the mighty Green Wave, if you ask me.
Here’s a large-ish forum thread on the topic from about thirteen years ago on a not-defunct Final Fantasy site, too. :)
My parish ended up one of the reddest in the state, but I got what little social circle I had out to the polls. Was worth a shot.
Came to Louisiana for a job opportunity and brought a few folks with us, all voting for Campbell tomorrow morning. We’ll do what we can - but you’re right.
This rivalry would appeal to me since I no longer live in KC, and St. Louis is closer to where I grew up - I could theoretically see two matches a year with road trips to Houston and then STL on the way to my folks’ house.
Well, I definitely understand why he ended up at Galaxy for so many years. Right up their alley.
Immediately scrolled down to say this when I saw the header.
Wolf spiders are like, errrrrywhere, I feel like. But I can corroborate - here in Louisiana, they come onto my enclosed patio by the dozens, and a couple months back one of my cats pounced one with babies on its back and it was just like a cloud of minispiders running away.
Over the last half of this year, I’d actually think very hard about putting Panama ahead of the USMNT on form.
Shame they’re so small. I’d gladly pay twice the prize for a unit twice the size, even though it would likely require more batteries. Perhaps if these are successful, we’ll get that added variety in characters and maybe some more sizes too.
It’s still, what, six weeks until Christmas? Even if they shipped no more units to North America until next week, even by sea, that still leaves the opportunity for pre-Christmas buying. I think the people paying silly money on eBay will not be the only people having these under the tree this year, they’ll just feel…
I’m in no hurry to get one, but I wouldn’t mind having one just to have on one of my collectible shelves. Like Jason said, only for me it’s mainly the adorableness.
My brother works at a big-box, and he had a line of 100+ people waiting at open for their allotment of 20 units. This is in a metro area that serves a population of only about 50k.
