I DON"T GIVE A FUCK!!!
I DON"T GIVE A FUCK!!!
Dude, the corvette is wedge shaped (aerodynamic advantage) and weighs 3300lbs, no shit it's going to get better fuel mileage.
Corvette and Mustang aren't in the same ballpark much less the same sport.
When I say "hardened" I'm implying a higher survivability under fire.
I'm sure explosives are probably not required to take down an airliner as you suggested.
What's wrong with that?
That's a lot of boom.
I'm just curious as these weapons are obviously designed for elimination of hardened military aircraft, not commercial airliners. Although they have obviously demonstrated their effectiveness in that regard.
What size is the warhead on these weapons? I assume the use conventional HE to get the job done.
I'm not back tracking, I still say it isn't a "new" engine. And I also think 15hp is a considerable upgrade in power from the factory.
DI is coming. The coyote heads have had provisions since their inception.
Yuck, that thing is fugly. Like hit every branch on the way down as it fell out of the ugly tree ugly.
My point is, with little or no modification you could install them on a 2011-2014 Coyote. I still would not consider this a different engine. It is far to close to the original, similar to 96-98 2v engines and the 99-04 2v engines. The tops ends on those 2v engines are interchangeable.
The heads really aren't different, same casting, just revised finishing job.
I saw it was in the car, but I was pretty sure it was the 2.3L though. Either way, it should be pretty rad when it's done.
No they should just offer a twin turbo V8
I don't know for a fact, but I would think they do.
Larger valves, revised ports and chambers. Basically they took the CNC ported Boss head and used that to develop the new head. Small changes make a big (23hp) difference. The Coyote was initially rated at 412 in 2011.
probably as a replacement motor for vehicles equipped with it. You could run it with a stand alone engine control system like Accel DFI, FAST XFI or Motec.
I think they don't want people tweaking on the 3.5L Ecoboost, hence the lack of factory support. The 2.3L seems like a logical alternative that wouldn't undercut V8 crate engine sales.
