Yeah, as soon as I saw this article, I thought “Well, selling 2 cars instead of the 1 Mitsubishi somebody bought in 2024 -is- a 100% increase, so...yay?

No big deal-probably just a Kardashian out on a grocery run.

Yes, and no?

I figure they just liked the look of the V (but perhaps not the price), as they didn’t go all out with actual badges, the yellow calipers, etc. Also, when Rob mentioned the “V-badged front buckets and leather seating surfaces both front and rear”, those are just the standard seats; the actual V models had a large

This part caught my eye:

My understanding is, if they follow the letter of the law, it goes into effect when it is “put into service”, i.e.-first registered, though I’m sure the dealer would try and come up with a reason to get around that.

Not at all; see my reply above!

Ironically enough, I was in NYC a few weeks ago, as I had some time to use before the end of the year. Stayed in Hell’s Kitchen around 52nd and 9th for the most part. During that time, I:

That (to me) was the buried lede.

NGL, I cackled at that part.

I found that (for the convertible at least), if you sort of held the top part of the windshield frame when the roof is down, with one leg out of the car, and pulled yourself up while pushing up/out, and doing the same in reverse to enter it, you could 9/10 do it gracefully. Also, it is either wider than it seems, or

When I rented one of these several years ago, I wanted to go over every inch of it, but I couldn’t figure out how to do half of the stuff in the video (thankfully, cause I would have definitely screwed up the hood!). But it amazes me that the Germans (well, BWM mostly), of all people, wouldn’t have made something more

Given that BMW’s styling got...um, interesting’ in the last 10 years, it wasn’t a high bar to reach, but yeah, one of my favorites for sure, esp. as a convertible.

That was the combo of the one I had in Miami, and yeah...that’s possibly the only area where I thought the stylists reached the end of their work day and said “whatever”. Love the rest of it though!

Several places make the Haartz cloth tops for these, so that’s not an issue. The windshield is nothing special (these started out as coupes and have a corresponding VIN to that effect; that said, a standard coupe one will fit just fine). The price is kinda high for one, but this has the manual, which for some reason

IDK, but they may have to change that FSD part of the manual from Fully Self Driving to Fully Self Destructing.

The follow up article to this should be whether or not Turo’s insurance pays out to the owners of the rented vehicles.

There was a convertible one of these for sale in West Virginia this fall; I have no idea how one wound up there, but it was pretty nice. I’d almost take a chance on one, but the first minor issue would probably bring all the fun to a halt while it sat in the driveway for months.

Maybe the Artemis can be the successor to the Arteon?
