When I was a little dude, my parents had a Gremlin with (IIRC) a straight-6 258cid and a three-speed manual on the floor. It apparently had a habit of twisting driveshafts, or maybe that was just my dad’s right foot.

I can’t believe that there is something in a Mitsubishi showroom that I would like less than a Mirage.
Triumph TR3 with bad cosmetics and good mechanicals can be had for this price. I have never owned one, but several long term acquaintances are also long term owners. The low cut door, lack of any sound proofing and direct mechanical feel never fail to put a smile on your face as a driver or passenger.
As the owner of an NB I’ll agree with the above suggestion.
I think it’d actually be more accurate to argue Dodge made the MOST trash cars. Malaise era, disastrous downsizing era, K-car era, Daimler era... There are some ROUGH patches in Dodge’s history.

Don’t poor shame people. We all know why people bought this. It was always dramatically cheaper than any other 7 seater. And with the insane markup on anything new these days, a leftover 2019 Journey is probably 30% to 50% cheaper than anything else on the lot.
Owning people who bought:

Kim Jong Un would like a word - the great Democratic People’s Republic of Korea always votes 100% for the dear leader
We don’t kink shame here.
Cars 2, do we really need more Larry the Cable Guy?
