It’s really easy to debunk this. Go look at any racing series that races on snow/ice and look at the tires. They want all the traction they can get and are using narrow tires.

I bought a used truck with some off brand A/T tires and it literally would have performed better in all environments with p-metric passenger highway tires.

But honestly, 4-wheel drive is the most important part of the equation.
