Pulling registration is a dick move that serves no one.

LOL at the idea that a dormitory holding hundreds of the world’s most athletically perfect people isn’t going to turn into Fuck City.

I don’t think there is any logic in suggesting a CPO is about inventory control....

Or, and this will blow your freaking mind, they are using a CPO program to profit on their used inventory, give buyers options to keep them from going to the competition and discourage consumers from going with private sales, funneling their dollars through their dealer network.

Well, to a certain extent the amount some getting ridden calling them used might be a stretch.

Ha.  When you break it down like that, it’s pretty desperate sounding.

A lease is just a more complicated loan with a pre-set residual. The equity is in the vehicle not the lease. The lessor agreed to X value at the end of the lease and shoulders that risk and covers it the same way we do when we finance which is covered by a lessee’s payments. Where I got mixed up was this is for the

Ding Ding. We have a winner. You just have to procure the buyout in a different way. It’s none of their business where your buyout money came from. They want you to finance the buyout.  They are financing arms first that happen to sell cars.

They agreed to this this risk though.  You agreed to other risk.  Your risk paid off.  Literally.

The dealership surely sin’t the owner of the property either and the lending company does not view the vehicle as their property but the Loan and it’s interest and their property.  The buyer has all the legal risk, they are the owner of any equity.

So this is an after the fact change to the original paperwork restricting the use of third party buy outs?

In no way did it not achieve what they set out to do yesterday.

No, he’s saying if he traded someone his $4K car for a car that was listed at $10K and provides the extra $6K in cash, he still pays sales tax on the full $10K as that was the sales price. I suppose the seller could just say he sold it for $6K. Not sure how legal that is though.

Unfortunately, it is literally on the other side of the country...which might be a good thing for my bank account!

I love it.

Many here mock the jacked up Jeeps in the mall parking lot. Well maybe also mock the wild aerodynamic, vented, winged, track package garbage that’s never going to be driven faster than an average stiff breeze anyway.

I’ve been saying Tesla is not actually an innovator for a while now; at least not an innovator in automotive engineering and production. They were an innovator in sales and marketing of automobiles. Nothing more.

My brother had a main seal on his 2016 Highlander go out. With 55K miles. Everything’s pretty damn good and everything has some bad apples in the bunch.

Ain’t that the truth.  It’s hilarious that people like him don’t get it.

When I buy stuff from Amazon, am I by proxy supporting everything Jeff Bezos supports?
