God I love to and love when people put the screws to the resident jalopnik nimrod.

Sorry to turn this political, but it would have been funny to know what Trump would have asked him about the vehicle.

Well, after he sells the natural consequence is the price falls.

Good discussion points; especially the lotus parts. While I agree with the reality you’ve laid out; It feels so silly. Everyone makes a luxury car.  :)

But does the fact they are competing with them mean they are luxury?

It’s not a pump and dump for Tesla. It’s a pump and dump for Elon. Buy BTC. He says Tesla will accept BTC. BTC Rises. Sell BTC. Tell the world Tesla won’t accept BTC. BTC falls.  Repeat with other pump and dump tactics.

This change happened a long time ago too. Luxury to me would be ultra mechanically reliable with great materials and reliable technology. Instead, all but Lexus, luxury vehicles are over complicated, unreliable, barely maintainable cars that can hardly make it through their warranty with out catastrophic failures.

The fact ethereum only accepts ether doesn’t mean anything. That’s a technicality that does not mean the currency itself is providing value (computation).

Just gimme straight cut gears somewhere in the driveline.

(And FYI, there are quite a few computational uses for cryptocurrencies. It might not make sense to hear at first, but Ethereum is not just a currency, it’s a software application platform. You can literally run games, web servers, and databases on Ethereum. The same is true for other cryptocurrencies.)

How is stock different? Do you own anything tangible?

Why is gold an asset?

When you view Bitcoin as an asset like a stock or Gold it makes more sense.

I believe it has to do with the “floor pan.” If we look at the Chrysler LX platform; for the Challenger, the “floor pan” was the similar enough for an automatic or manual. So they only need one certification for the Challenger. For for the Charger/300 the “floor pan” would have been different enough to need to certify

You said they were almost half the price. That’s not even true when you’re comparing Base model FWD CX9/Highlander.

Honda’s AWD system in the Ridgeline, Passport, and Pilot is now on par with Acuras with the tuning being slightly different for the market segments they occupy.

A top level trim level CX9 and Highlander both approach $50K MSRP.

If Honda/Acura Infotainment is bad, whose is good?

This. Is. Sad and Hilarious at the same time.

I’m not implying anything. You may be inferring something.
