the TAS does a glitch called Flagpole glitch which requires you to grab the bottom of the flagpole. Flagpole glitch saves roughly 0.35 seconds. No human has managed to do this trick in real time in a speedrun so humans just grab the top of the flagpole.

There is a glitch in that level that is extremely precise. He need to do two backwards jumps to scroll the screen just far enough to go down the first pixel of the pipe. this tricks the game into taking you to the warp zone instead of the coin cash like it’s supposed to.
