Factor in the reduced visibility and the likelihood of a vehicle capable of 0-60 in around 3 seconds, being driven in a somewhat irresponsible manner. The chance of this thing hitting a kid is likely greater than a Yukon hitting a kid.

As someone else mentioned, this isn’t displacing a Chevy Bolt purchase; this is displacing a gas guzzler. This is a win by all accounts.
Someone else posted this, and I’ll say the same thing here - I have a massive soft spot for these and listed it as one of my favorites when Jalopnik asked the bests last year.
Ehm… I think the bigger surprise here is that the Equinox needs 6 lugs rather than the “cooling slots”.
The Plymouth Prowler is a neat car that deserves our respect and admiration, and we should acknowledge that just about nobody but mid-90's Chrysler would put a concept car into production virtually unchanged just because they wanted an excuse to play around with some production technique (in this case, working with…
Not only do 80% of truck owners never really need a truck, but that they will tell you they get one to help friends move or pull someone out of a ditch, and then cannot be found on moving day and drive right past everyone stuck in said ditch.
Station wagons are better than SUV’s.
Since no one else is brave enough to say it, I will. Bullitt. That movie was miserably boring. It’s 2 hours of a car handling badly around San Francisco.
I know you’re just razzing your friend’s Ghibli but that is not really a fair comparison. The Dart is front wheel drive and transverse engine with the either the 1.4 Turbo from the Fiat 500 or the naturally aspirated version 2.0 or the larger 2.4 Tiger-shark engine. This car is rear wheel drive with a longitudinal 2.0…
“We’ve been trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty.”
Seems like some dealers are more than happy to lose customers over a one time bonus payment. Not a great long term strategy if you ask me; especially not with a clientele who can afford expensive vehicles.
The only reason dealerships do this is because suckers are WILLING to pay it. You don’t NEED, as in hard need, a brand new hot in demand car or truck, you WANT it. If you would be patient and wait those mark downs almost always disappear, granted in this current market with a shortage of supply they will stick…
Because this is America and we show off to our fellow bar buds by driving around in...(checks article) $177k “Trucks” that have no range while towing and will never be used for any truck things because youtube/tv/social media has taught us that excess is the new American dream.
Insert shocked Pikachu face.
I have a 12-year-old 5 speed Fit sport, which I love utterly and completely. At some point it will die, and this sad HR-V is all Honda has to offer me. I’ll probably end up getting an Impreza, because at least you can get them in manual.
As others have pointed out Minnetonka is a very affluent community. This kid has already got mutual funds/trusts, and he’s got an extra 20K for a car to go 5,280 feet on school days.
Definitely not the norm to have it baked in, but you can generally buy gap coverage more cheaply just about anywhere than a car dealership. Financial institution, insurance co, I think even AAA offers it now.
True, which is why I expect the ratio to be pretty high. But I wonder if that ratio is published anywhere, perhaps a gas retailer industry database?
But what comes up must come down
Room for at least a few dozen Ukrainian refugees on board, surely?
