He’ll be elected to our Florida Senate next cycle I’m sure.

Need to give more stars for understanding the politics of the region.

So, Cameron, you didn’t say, but since you’re in H-town, I’m guessing there is a reasonable chance you work for a petro-chemical company. So let’s play it safe and set aside hybrids and EVs since those could get you banned from those company lots.

Clearly he wants people to know he got a big promotion at work. I know every time I see a $60K SUV from a “prestige brand” I think “clearly that person or their spouse has ascended to the heights of their profession” and not “get your bloated soccer mom mobile out of my lane.”

There’s another journalist(Alec Karakatsanis @equalityAlec) also covering some of the fishy details around this, and how it lines up with the reporting of the bullshit smash and grab scare stories coming out of San Francisco and Chicago. No one is talking to real people or employees on these stories, it’s just being

The US is going full on 1930's, economic collapse, pandemic, robber barrens, gilded age Billionaires, now its time for some good ol’ train robbing.

Hardly. People that buy these are people that want the most expensive one to show off that they “can afford” the most expensive one.

The General’s management must be hugely out of touch with what people want. It took them ages to go mid-engine with the ‘vette but when the C8 came out, they sold like hot cakes. The Blazer could have been a money-printing Jeep rival like the Bronco but GM played it safe with a C1XX based CUV.

They probably got it for free and now require fees to cover the maintenance.

This pretty much says it all. Remember, this is a town with fewer than 1,500 residents.

Um, the US is a third world country.

The forfeitures numbers are terrifying. Imagine you are on a family vacation and some small town cop decides your car and all your stuff is now their property and you have to sue to get it back.

accept on 4x4 trucks - less rim plus more tire is usually better and less ground clearance is meh

You can take the car out of the ghetto...

Baller-on-a-budget here already took the time to drive from his crappy apartment complex to the nice neighborhood to get the pictures (note that the car is parked on the street, not in a driveway). And it was probably a long drive, so he had to stay hydrated!

Those stupid fucking wheels tell me everything I need to know about this car, and what they tell me is no dice.

The blue collar town would prefer to pollute the planet so they can benefit. They are externalizing the costs of their business to everyone else.

They did what most fire departments do. Spend a shit ton of tax payer money for toys they never use and don’t need. Then they replace them at low miles rinse and repeat. (I sat on the board of a fire department for a couple years and saw it first hand).

C&b shows that.

At Mecum there was a $21k bid today on a 1990 Chevy 1500 that didn't meet reserve. I don’t care that it has the 454, that’s freaking insane.
